RIP Jacintha

It occurred to me that the nurse who committed suicide,

Duchess of Cambridge hospital accuses DJs of humiliating nurses with prank call

was Asian and might not possibly have been able to tell whether the abusers who made the prank call had "good" or "bad" English accents when they spoke on the phone.

People in USA who watch my videos, tell me they love my "English Accent" - but I do not have an "English accent"!

So it was really sad her abusers were so amused that she took the bait even though their accents were so bad. They LAUGHED with glee! Would she be able to know about their accents?

How can we ever know what our actions will do to another when we do them on a dangerous "high" of feeling clever?  We become thoughtless cretins marinaded in our self admiration. What a pity. What a shame. They really had no idea, silly people!

Vaping is NOT like smoking! THAT'S our power.

There seems to be a cough of horror from the corporate industries profiting from being the smokers' enemy, about vaping just being a form of/the same as smoking....trouble is, their poisonous exhalation is polluting us vapers!

Blinded by Ideology, Anti-Smoking Advocates are Widely Misleading the Public into Thinking that Electronic Cigarette Use is a Form of Smoking

So as a fifty year smoker, I am asking myself is vaping the same as smoking? I was determined never to give up smoking because A - nicotine is medication and B - the more vicious the smoking persecution I saw happening around me, the more aggro I became about not succumbing to force.

I only started vaping because I was going somewhere I could not smoke. I changed to vaping by complete accident and choose to vape now, even though I could choose to smoke.

Do I vape not to smoke? No - I vape because it's great! It's better than smoking for me. THAT'S what the pleasure poopers are frightened of! If every smoker discovered vaping and the numbers of sinful smokers dwindled - they would be out of business - they have to find someone else to persecute, and it's likely to be us. Well, stuff them! Most dedicated vapers like me, could carry on vaping despite all conceivable tactics to stop us - and THAT'S our power.  Vaping is NOT like smoking!

You can't stop us now - uh uh - no way.

I have just given myself my Thursday morning treat by watching Vapour Trails TV

The discussion on the WHO possibly only "allowing" pre-filled cartomisers and look alikees made my blood freeze and my anger boil.

Some months ago, I invested in a mechanical mod with a lifetime guarantee so that I would not have to rely on batteries other than those that would not be banned, or rely on the bells and whistles of vaping electronics that can go wrong, or let me down, or need replacing.

But I like tanks and dripping. No pre-filled cartos would do!  But freezing my nic base is a most fantastic idea and that is what I will do. I'm old - so I could have enough to last till I die! I'm the lucky one. As for flavourings - the WHO can't ban food flavourings. Nor could they ban Glycerine. If my nic base was PG - my mix would still be ok.

I think the future of vaping for hobbiest vapers will still be bright! We would find ways and means to do what we want - even if it was getting our nicotine from tomato leaves?!

You can't stop us now - uh uh - no way.

The cost of meddling - leave us alone!

If the economy isn't growing, you don't force shops to spend millions hiding cigarettes AT THE COST OF MILLIONS or changing to plain packaging. When something isn't growing, you simply keep the status quo until it rectifies itself. Things CANNOT always grow. If  our money is in such a mess (bankruptcy really) the government should be assisting business NOT to have to spend on things like repackaging foods, or fags, minimum pricing on alcohol or bring in any legislation that COSTS the countries businesses

All the re-organisation, the nit picky laws, our UK Government is constantly attending to, COSTS us.

Why don't they just  get on with paying back our debt instead of making more - and get rid of all the Charity Industries that lobby the government at government expense. That would save a packet - we can't afford "health meddling" right now.

Smokers, drinkers and eaters are paying enough already. Take our money and leave us alone!

We should have stayed in bed.

I can't keep up with all the things happening in the vaping community. Well, to be honest - it's not just the vaping community, its blogs I follow, google alerts, emails from my five email addresses, facebook, google+, You Tube and more.

I have a sort of routine in the morning. The cat and dog come to me and we snuggle on the bed. My husband has brought me coffee before he exits to go to work. I go online on my playbook which has all this stuff (social networking) consolidated and it tells me how many items demand my attention. My attention might be replying to, viewing something or simply pushing the delete button.

This all takes time. But remember I am retired (yeah!). If I do it all properly, I have got everything under control by 10:00am and the animals and I can get up. I make breakfast, eating late.

While I do my chores (or not, depending) I try to keep in mind what I want to say in my blog(s).  Though why I should need to blog, escapes me. Except that I have written all my life and I enjoy it. Blogging is far more enjoyable than being controlled by an editor or have to stick to your topic as a journalist. You can do what you like in a Blog. I like that.

I love being retired. I can do what I like. I am really enjoying my life at the moment. It's the best time!

This morning there were only 71 emails and things to respond to. I got up earlier. But have done nothing more than if I'd stayed in bed till 10:00am. I have watched videos, written, chased information down information rabbit holes and got colder and colder sitting in the lounge  vaping in my usual chair. Outside it is wet and cold. The central heating repair man has come back from his hols - but he hasn't been to our house. The dog is lying shivering on the sofa.

We should have stayed in bed.

New mix

I always feel good when I've done a new mix. I mix a base of 18mg  (1.8%) nicotine and 30/70  or greater of veggie glycerine and PG. My mix has no flavour - I add that once it is in my tank by counting in the number of drops of flavourant I know I like.

Tonight I am going out, and am going to spend the evening listening to some stimulating discussion.  I will be snuggled down in a big soft armchair, vaping blissfully on my new mix in the corner of the room.

Oooo - that's good!

Frozen solid

Everyone in our family is not well, recovering from or succumbing to a nasty bug. My daughter and her husband are sick - so we are babysitting their two-year-old.

It's been a lovely sunny day with icicles sparkling in the trees and on the grass - very pretty, so we took her and Bobby-the-dog and Oscar-the-cat for a walk. What a MISSION! The parking lot outside our front door is a solid sheet of black ice. So we went through our icicle sparkling garden to our gate. Husband had to grit the steps before we could get out of it. Then we managed to slither down the street to the park. I'm really frightened of falling. And I'm really frightened of falling with a baby more. She was on her reins - but even so she had a slithery fall. Once we got to the crispy crunchy grass it was all fun. Bobby-the-dog chased sticks and Oscar-the-cat chased Bobby and the baby chased them both. It was worth it.
Now we are home and the central heating is not working as I mentioned in my "The cringeworthyness of being cold" post.

The baby is having her after lunch snooze, the dog and cat are kipping on the sofa, and I am writing this feeling frozen solid. I'm going to have to light our expensive gas fire.

There is no solution except a hot drink and a comforting vape!
