Rats, Vaping and Video by a not really posh person

We attended a big event last weekend. Usually, this fella (pictured) would have stayed with one of the family or friends - but they were all at the event. So our dog came along too. Frankly, he was a damn nuisance - and I'll tell you why....

This guy is a ratter. And boy, is he good! We have seen him in action. Unfortunately, as he has done before in old buildings, he got the "scent" in the wood paneled foyer of the posh hotel we stayed in, and made embarrassing hunting scenes!

Now, WE aren't posh people. We are pretty old-clothes-wearing, don't-mind-boots-in-the-lounge folk. And ....
But we fake it on occasions. So it is humiliating when your dog is convinced there are rats in the place you have just entered. And I have to say, he is seldom wrong! We omitted to tell the proprietor. Maybe it was the scent of high class Victorian rat ancestors, couldn't be sure, and we were reluctant to let the dog trash the place. So he had to be constantly watched and restrained.

I had my best outfit packed -

And took some elegant vaping equipment -

But  in the end only used one PV -

For reasons outlined in this video -

  1. Lovely: And yes, I still use a cigalike when i am driving or working around the garden. it is convenient. But your main point, whatever it is, it is harm reduction so... Has to be good.

    1. I use small batteries cigalike size but BLACK. No confusion there. And you are right - very convenient indeed!

  2. Liz, you could have explained your device, how much longer it lasted , better it tasted, cheaper it cost and not felt guilty in anyway. I like the colour co-ordination by the way.

  3. Great story! I use my ego 650 mah almost exclusively when I go out. Most of the time at home too. I went to a big meet in LA and thought I would look silly with an ego but it really doesn't matter. Good reflection though. Any vape that works is a good vape. I always have at least three flavors handy, if I can, as one is boring after a couple hours. Too bad about the sniffing dog. At least he has a good nose even with posh folks :)

    1. Yes - I like small devices. They fit easily in my pocket as I seldom use a handbag - and they are comfortable in the hand. The sniffing dog is more of a problem than just sniffing. He can demolish furniture, skirtings and wooden panelling or demolish a fireside woodpile in a blink of an eye! Thanks or your comment. Interesting.

  4. Liz you're wonderful. You're a wonderfully warm and funny woman and you're an inspiration, not just to the over 60's vapers but to us younger pups too. Thank you.
